A Brief Overview of the Process involved

Planning:- Is usually far less problematic then extensions or loft conversions. We can help with all aspects of the planning procedure.

Design:- Using structural engineers who specialise in this field and architects if required.

Construction:- it is feasible, using the following procedures to create a clean dry living area from an existing cellar or create an entirely new living space below your feet from nothing but existing foundations.

Phase one.
Underpinning the walls. Each individual pin is examined by building control inspectors

Phase two.
Reduce floor level to create the new living area.

Phase three.
Drainage, essential for any basement construction to relieve any potential water pressure.

Phase four.
Floor designed to suite building, incorporating all aspects of heat loss, structural strength and floor finishes.

Phase 5.
Tanking/waterproofing. We use the most advanced and proven system, the cavity wall membrane, a key factor is that this system doesn't resist any natural water pressure, contraction or expansion.

Phase six.
Electrics,plumbing and associated services.

Phase seven.
Aesthetics and decorating
